Zoher and Company offers masking solutions for screens of all sizes. Contact us for cloth samples and job estimates.

Fixed masking solutions

The screen is masked on all sides to ensure a crisp picture with edge to edge viewing. The masking cloth is fixed on commercial plywood sheets and fixed into place. A simple job executed professionally.

Motorised Masking Solutions

Electric masking systems are installed when the cinema is projecting films with different aspect ratios so that the picture projected always fits exactly into the screen without leaving white areas.

Masking Tips

The masking is always black or a very dark colour so that light is not reflected of it.
You should ensure that the masking has sharp borders and that it is not wavy or cut hap-hazardly otherwise it will give your screen a very amateur appearance.

If the speakers behind the screen happen to be covered by the masking it should be acoustically transparent so that the sound is not muffled.

The masking should always be installed in such a manner that it does not hampen replacement or maintenance of the screen or other equipment.

It should be completely silent and professional so that anyone visiting the theatre leaves appreciating a good cinematic experience.
